When We Are Closed

In the event of an illness outside of surgery hours, please ring 111. This service is covered by NHS Leeds between 18:00 – 08:00 daily and at weekends. This Number is on our answerphone when surgery is closed.  

A trained receptionist will answer your phone call and you will be offered either telephone advice from a doctor, a consultation at the emergency primary care centre where you can request to be seen at either Harrogate or Leeds, a visit by a doctor, or other appropriate treatment. This will be decided on medical need.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency, you should call 999. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
